Ormolu Mounted Rosewood Occasional Table

1920 - 1940
Description

Circa 1930s, a very unusual and stylish ormolu mounted rosewood occasional table. The rectangular table has oval ends, and open piece work gallery that wraps around. Beneath the top are two small drawers and apron, with cast gilded strap work. The drawers have ormolu mounts and stylish cast brass and gilded swan neck handles. The table stands on four unusual, elegant legs that are gilded brass, with acanthus leaves on the top and a large fluted tapering section beneath. These are finished on a very fine foot.
