Description

A lovely Victorian extending dining table in golden quarter-sawn oak and with two additional leaves. It has a rectangular top with moulded edge and canted corners and stands on four substantial ring turned baluster shaped legs with brass caps and brown pottery castors. The table smoothly extends from 5ft to 8ft by means of a winding mechanism allowing it to seat 8 to 10 people if using both leaves and the leaves slot together with a tongue and groove to the edges (a higher quality finish than the usual peg and holes). Recently repolished and rewaxed but still showing signs of age and use, with a good deep honey oak colour to the top and legs it comes with a winder handle.
