Unusual 18th Century Oval Dish Top Tripod Table

Description

Very unusual mid 18th century OVAL Cuban mahogany dish top tripod table. The unusual oval top is constructed from several pieces of mahogany with the edge mould applied in a similar way to early silver tables.

Nice design base with lovely shape legs. Nice and honest underneath with original framed bearers and original early iron catch.

A couple of small repairs to the edges.

Lovely original colour and patination with waxed finish.

I can't say I have ever seen an oval dish top tripod table before, very unusual. Possibly Dutch.
