Large Round Dining Table by Gillows

Description

GILLOWS of LANCASTER: A wonderfully impressive and large circular rosewood DINING or CENTRE TABLE in particularly fine and original condition.

As one expects of furniture from this highly regarded firm of cabinetmakers, it is beautifully constructed with its finely figured rosewood top of good warm colour and patina. It is supported on an octagonal section central column leading to a triform base and "Rigby" carved feet with original concealed castors. 53ins wide 29.5ins high. (135 x 75cms).

**As with most Gillows pieces, this table is not stamped but its sheer quality and many of its features can be found illustrated in "Gillows of Lancaster and London" by Susan E. Stuart.
