The top is inlaid with a broad band of satinwood and the frieze under the top has decorative ebony stringing.
The restoration required is not too extensive. There are a couple of small slivers of veneer missing from the top and the top is slightly wobbly. It could also do with a good polish.

You would not get much change out of £2000 for one of these at a good antique fair so with a little bit of work this could be a good investment.
