George III Gilt Gesso Demi Lune Hall Console Table Carrera Marble Top

Description

This is an elegant George III demi lune hall table dating from the late 18th century. The table is in very good original condition with its original gilding. The smart white and grey Carrera marble rests above a foliate pierced frieze between egg and dart moulding above fluted and acanthus decorated tapering legs joined by a flattened stretcher surmounted by a grand central urn. The carving is of a good quality and with delicate intricate detail.

The table is is excellent condition for its age, (circa 1770) and measures 103cm wide, 51cm deep and is 90cm high.
