Beautifully Figured Victorian Flamed Mahogany Antique Side / Console / Games Table

Dating from ca. 1860 this Victorian Flamed Mahogany Antique Side / Console / Games Table has the most Beautifully Figured flamed mahogany top that swivels open to double its size and reveals a green baize playing surface under which can be found a concealed games storage compartment. The frieze has a decorative moulded edge above a shaped pedestal with a quadriform base with turned bun feet and castors. It is a striking rich mahogany shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
