Description

A superb quality early 19th century Regency rosewood occasional table with octagonal Pietre Dure top.

This table consists of a slate octagonal top with Pietre Dure inlaid decoration of exotic birds, flowers and decorative designs inlaid with various marbles, semi-precious stones and gem stones such as malachite, porphyry, lapis lazuli, ammonite, blue john etc to form a superb quality decorative top.

The top is supported by an elegant rosewood base consisting of a tri-form column leading down to a moulded collar, moulded outswept supports with brass paterae and terminating with a tri-form platform base supported by three turned bun feet.

This table is in excellent condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
