Georgian Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
There is a large block on which the table top sits on and beneath this a very stylish turned fluted column with acanthus leaves rising from the centre of it, a gadrooned section beneath this and various ring turnings as it tapers out onto a raised cut out platform base. The fore edge has a slight carving on it and the whole piece finishes on a stylised foot. There is a small bracket of carving beneath the foot which tapers in and follows the form of the base. Unusual to find a table of this size. Excellent colour and patination.
