A 19thc Oak Dining, Kitchen or Hall Table

Description

A substantial oak dining or hall table. 19th century and possibly earlier. The thick heavy top is made from good timber (ships timber ?) and lifts off. This would enable the table to fit into difficult locations. The base is peg jointed and has nicely worn stretchers. The top overhangs the base sufficiently to enable comfortable seating. The base is marked with the owners initials JE. The size would alow seating for a comfortable 6 or tight 8 persons.

Perfect as a Kitchen table in a beamed property, dining table or a fine talle table.
