The Antique Partnership has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The top also has a very old iron burn a very typical result of French family living. the colour of the top and the patina is lovely and as such the burn and worm just serves to justify its age. The tapered and pegged jointed legs are cherry and oak and have been tipped long ago due to rough stone floors. The are two drawers. The end drawer is of massive proportions and the side drawer long and narrow with some very old damage to its face.
This is a charming rustic piece which is ready for immediate use in a restaurant, kitchen or eating area.
