Fine Regency Mahogany Card Table by W. Priest

Description

FINE late Regency mahogany card table of outstanding quality of manufacture by W. PRIEST, 17 & 24 WATER STREET, BLACKFRIARS. This card table is in first class original condition with no repairs at all. The tops are completely flat when closed. Great design base with reeded column and scroll carved feet. The base decorated with knurling all round.

The baize inside has been replaced but even that is of quality with a double tooled design round the edge.

The table is stamped twice on the edge inside with the W. Priest mark. W. Priest seem to have been both manufacturers in their early days and furniture retailers at various address in Blackfriars.
