French Oak Pull Out Dining Table

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1900, very stylish French oak pull out dining table. The large rectangular top has a solid oak frame and a geometric parquetry centre. The oak is cut in all directions with running grain, cross grain and quarter sawn sections. There are 2 pull out sections at each end, giving the table useful combinations. The apron beneath is shaped with open quarter brackets on each side. The whole piece stands on 4 massive bulbous legs which have a very stylish solid oak shaped stretcher. Beneath the bulbous section there is a block and the legs finish on squat bun feet. It would make a good hall table, centre table or large dining table.

Size 79.5cm high x 134cm long opening to 239cm x 101cm wide.
