M Lees and Sons has dated this piece to the Regency era.
. The design inspired by Greek classical antiquity , in the fashionable Grecian revival manner of this period from the drawings of the neo-classicists such as Thomas Hope and Charles Heathcote-Tatham.

The bold scrolled supports with 'stiff-leaf' carving to the front roll and classical leaf carving to the rear of the volute. Plain frieze with no drawer, the mahogany top raised above a mould , alluding to a marble top from antiquity .

Standing on moulded plinth bases, with plain uprights to the rear.
Excellent colour and condition , with no splits or damage.
Has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops , ready to use .
