Large Victorian Mahogany Antique Gillows Design Extending Dining Table

In The Famous Gillows Design, This Large Mahogany Antique Extending Dining Table dates from around 1870 in the Victorian period. With a solid mahogany top with moulded edge and two central removable leaves, winding handle and wind out mechanism. This splendid table stands on eight Gillows design turned reeded legs with brass castors, and could quite easily accommodate eight to twelve dinner guests once extended. The top has the usual character marks that you expect to find from a genuine antique and the mahogany has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
