Sold by: Waterfall Antiques

An incredible find; an exquisite country-made low table dating from the first half of the 19th century. This lovely piece of English furniture consists of a rough-hewn single piece of figured English oak with a domed underside having a total thickness of 2¾” (70mm). It is supported on three original, slightly tapering, legs. This rare and highly desirable primitive example – sometimes referred to as a dairy table – dating from c.1825, has its original finish with a rich warm colour.
