Superb Quality Early 19th Century Mahogany Console Table

A superb quality early 19th century mahogany console table or serving table of good proportions.

This piece has a well figured, veneered mahogany top with a plate support to the back.

This leads down to a fine quality cross grain veneered edge supported by a mahogany moulding.

Underneath is a superb quality frieze consisting of two concealed frieze drawers with a mahogany panel to the centre with carved mahogany rosettes to each end.

The bold front supports are of scroll design with finely carved foliate decoration and terminating with a scroll foot, the back supports are of reeded design.

The table is supported by a figured and veneered plinth of concave shape.

This piece is of very good condition, of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
