Unusual Chinese Lacquer Table

1900 - 1920
Description

Unusual Chinese black lacquer box table with removable top. The top has scroll ends and a bevelled glass centre panel revealing an internal aquatic scene of raised red lacquer Carp swimming among Water Lilies. The table is decorated on all sides with Water Lilies, lily pads and reeds. There is some general wear to the table and some rubbing to the top of the left hand scroll and to the lily pads at the back of the table. The bevelled glass panel is also removable. Chinese circa. 1910
