Description

Circa 1850, triangular shaped Dutch marquetry fold over card table. The triangular shaped top is profusely inlaid with various types of marquetry depicting flowers and butterflies and a basket in the centre, surrounded by a scrolling border with string inlay. The top is hinged and opens to reveal a felt lined interior with a simple pattern inlaid into the border. The table stands on four square tapering legs. The leg at the back is telescopic, pulling out to support the top when it is open. The front legs are inlaid with floral marquetry, and the side two have inlaid panels. Sturdy and stylish piece.

Size 76.5cm high x 100cm wide x 52cm deep.
