Huge William IV Extending Mahogany Dining Table ca 1835

This magnificent William IV mahogany extending dining table has four additional leaves and would easily seat twelve to sixteen people. The top is solid mahogany with a moulded edge, has rounded corners and all its original brass clips. The piece stands on four beautiful octagonal turned legs with beautiful scrolled carvings and concealed castors. For added stability the piece has a later removable central turned leg. This magnificent table is superb quality, is a rich mahogany shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
