Here is a fantastic quality antique solid oak refectory farmhouse 6ft 9” table, circa 1920, from the Basque region of Spain. The tabletop is constructed of solid oak. Below the table, there are stunning ornate lyre shaped legs which are connected by a ring turned wrought iron stretcher. The tabletop and base is original. The tabletop features a superb colour & grain configuration. The table will seat up to 8 people. It is sufficiently tall enough to fit your legs underneath and is sufficiently wide to accommodate serving dishes in the centre of the table.
The table boasts a superb rich golden oak colour. It is a sought after design, which makes it an excellent practical furnishing, piece and it is a stunning example of a table from this provenance.
Condition Report:
This table is in excellent original condition. There are no cup marks, burns or watermarks to the top of the table. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the frame but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The carcass is solid with no breaks; splits or lose movements. The table boasts a fantastic golden oak colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. This table is extremely heavy, which is always a sign of good quality! This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
