A Very Fine Late Georgian Mahogany Drum Table

Description

A particularly fine quality late George III mahogany DRUM TABLE in good original condition.

The well-figured mahogany top is banded with rosewood with boxwood stringing, whilst to the frieze are four oak-lined drawers with original "leopards head" handles. It is supported on a good solid turned column, leading to four 'hipped' sabre legs which are inlaid with panels of "purple hart" with the original brass 'Lion's Paw' feet and castors.

This is an impressive and useful hall or centre table, measuring 42ins (107cms) diameter.
