Quality free-standing mahogany table with carved flower-head and ribbon edged shaped top , fluted and 'stop-fluted' frieze and carved oval paterae blocks to the out-swept corners. The centre of the lateral friezes with carved break-front tablet panels of neo-classical oval sun-flower head paterae and bell-flower or garrya husk swags. The tapering fluted square section legs with 'gaitered' terminals joined by a moulded X cross stretcher with large central carved oval sun-flower motif patera. Good rich period-style patination throughout , the 2-piece joined top ,with minor shrinkage crack.
The well-patinated Cuban mahogany top with ink-stains and minor marks commensurate with age and use.
