Description

An absolutely superb early 19th century single-drawer side table of diminutive proportions measuring just 20.25” (515mm) wide. The stunning columnar leg supports, of strong architectural design, have finely chased detailing top and bottom and are united by a scrolling X-form stretcher. There is a single full-width solid-oak-lined drawer surmounted by an overhanging rectangular top. The well-figured timbers retain their original finish with an abundance of period charm and character, a rich colour, and a glowing patination. This beautiful little general purpose side table dates from c.1820s/1830s.
