This is an attractive and good quality antique French provincial pine farmhouse table from the 2nd Empire period, circa 1850, in original condition. This table would have been used in a country property in France during the 2nd Empire Period. The table, which comfortably seats up to 10 persons, features a beautiful figured pine top with a lovely grain configuration, is cleated both ends and features a working drawer two each end of table. The drawers feature their original pine knobs. The table frame, which is constructed in the traditional peg construction, sits on four pretty but sturdy tapered legs. The table boasts a superb colour and is in excellent original condition.
The table boasts a rich dark pine colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms, especially the kitchen. This item would certainly grace any home. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
Condition Report:
This table is in excellent original condition. There are no stains or cup marks to the top of the table. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The two working drawers feature its original brass knob. The drawers are in good working order and closes flush to the frame. The table is solid in joint and ready to use.
