Georgian Mahogany Sofa Table

Description

Large late George III mahogany sofa table. An attractive, valuable and rare piece of furniture dating from the early 19th Century. Beautiful ray cut mahogany veneers, with that desirable warm colour and sought after pedestal base. This is a lovely quality piece, that is very charming. Two blind mahogany lined drawers that slide freely...dummies to the other side. One of the best examples that you will find without breaking the bank. Original brass foot castors (some wear as you would expect). No loose joints. No woodworm.

There is an historic repair to one of the legs and some iron strapwork to the underside of the base.

Overall maximum dimensions: 158.5cm long (103cm closed), 76.5cm deep, 73.5cm high (60cm high knee hole).
