Magnificent Quality Solid Mahogany Hairy Claw Foot Extending Dining Table

This Magnificent Quality Solid Mahogany Hairy Claw Foot Extending Dining Table dates from around 1900 in the Edwardian period. It has the original wind out mechanism, winding handle and two central removable leaves. The top is beautifully figured solid mahogany with a decorative carved moulded edge. The central leaves have a hinged frieze showing a true sign of quality. This exquisite table stands on four elegant cabriole legs with decorative carvings and remarkable hairy claw feet which could have only been accomplished by a talented craftsman. This quality table would certainly impress those dinner guests and it stands on quality brass castors. The mahogany has been finished to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
