Georgian mahogany pedestal Pembroke sofa table, dating from around 1820. This is a lovely table, that is full of age, charm and character. This table sold for £1500 in 2004 (see picture of receipt). This table is far better than most!

Very attractive patinated flame mahogany top. No loose joints or wobbles and the mahogany lined drawer slides freely (dummy at the other end). Simple pedestal base and a beautifully turned stem, terminating in brass paw feet and castors (some wear as you would expect).

Just a few historic woodworm holes, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure. There is a period steel strengthening plate to the underside of the base (nearly all similar tables have these). No key and the lock is untested.

Overall maximum dimensions: 104cm wide (55cm wide closed), 99cm deep, 71cm high.
