Table Console Hall Table Rare Drop Flap George III Oak C1780

18th century
Description

Here we have a wonderful George III Oak table c1780. As you can see the table has superb colour and patina. The top consists of two planks one being the drop flap. Both the top and flap have fantastic grain and colour. There is a beautifully executed rule joint between the two planks ensuring a snug fit once fully open. The single drawer has an original brass swan neck handle and original internal lock. There is a scribe mark around the Oak lined drawer to imitate cockbeading and beneath a lovely decorative moulding to the front and sides. The legs as you would expect from this period are square with an internal chamfer. With the flap down the table is very slim making it ideal for the hall, landing or a side lamp table. A wonderful and well looked after period Oak table in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are flap down 32 inches wide 15.5 deep and 27 high. With the flap up the top is 30 by 32 inches.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
