Magnificent Quality Figured Walnut Inlaid Oval Antique Dining Table.

Stamped by the renowned furniture makers Atkin and Sons Birmingham, this Magnificent Quality Figured Walnut Inlaid Oval Antique Dining Table circa, 1866 has been constructed using the finest quality timbers and is the professional work of a true Victorian craftsman. The oval top has a moulded edge with magnificent figured walnut and unusual inlay with birds eye maple kingwood cross banding and a boxwood and ebony string inlay. There is also a charming mosaic inlay around the edge to add to the beauty of this magnificent table. The top tilts on the original brass mechanism and rests on a solid walnut base with four beautiful turned uprights. This stunning table stands on four scrolled carved legs and a decorative central finial. The walnut has been finished to a warm golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
