Description

A top quality example of a low mid-19th century mahogany table. This beautiful example – formerly with a concealed ceramic bidet insert under the top surface – can be used as a general purpose table in any room of the house, but would be especially useful as a small coffee table in a sitting room. The top lid has a bold ogee-moulded edging to all four sides and is supported by superb Gillows-type legs that are elegantly turned, tapered and fluted. This wonderful piece of English cabinetmaking dates from c.1850.
