George III Mahogany Drop Leaf Dining Table

Description

Circa 1800, unusual George III mahogany dining table with one drop leaf. The D end table opens to show a good sized table with oval ends. Beneath the top on the front is a wonderful deep apron with a very fine beaded edge. The table stands on six turned and tapering legs which are very elegant and have a wonderful colour and patination. The legs finish on a raised brass cup castor. The back legs are in the form of a gateleg to raise the flap. The table will seat six people very comfortably, or could be used as a side or serving table.

Size 72cm high x 123cm wide x 71cm deep opening to 135cm.
