C19th Italian "Sorrento" inlaid parquetry occasional table.

Finely-inlaid octagonal tripod-base table with 16-pointed concentric star design parquetry top with multiple fruit-wood specimen inlays. 'Greek-key' type inlay to the border ,banded and inlaid edge and inlaid detail to the turned column and shaped triple supports.

Sorrento , Italy, on the coast of the Bay of Naples, has had an industry producing inlaid marquetry and parquetry wares since the C16th .

Good mellow patina , slight shrinkage creases to the top. Original condition with no losses.
