Table and Chairs Art Deco Figured and Burr Walnut C1920

Here we have a wonderful Art Deco period table and four chairs in figured and burr Walnut c1920. As you can see the Walnut has super colour and patina. The top has a typical angular shape with a stepped edge and thumb moulding. The central veneers are four panels of half matched figured Walnut which are very striking. This is bordered by a burr Walnut band and then a cross banded deep border replicated on the thumb moulding and sides. The pedestals retain the original screws and fixings and are also finished in Walnut with ebonised bases. The veneers on the pedestals are also cross banded and have been put to good use forming concentric angular diamond shapes. The chairs have fan backs again in figured Walnut half matched veneers. There are cross banded front and side friezes and stunning chamfered legs. All the seats have been re-upholstered identical to the the original covers. A beautiful example of an original Art Deco period dining table and chairs in fantastic retail condition. The dimensions are approx 72 inches wide, 38 deep and 30 high.
