Description

A superb quality Georgian table so desirable for being of a plain and understated design. Its simple form consists of a moulded-edge rectangular top over a plain frieze supported by elegant slightly tapering square-section legs. It retains its original finish throughout and has a rich warm colour and a glowing patina. It can be used in any room in the house: as a general purpose side table; perhaps in place of a tripod wine table in the drawing room; or as a bedside cabinet. It is English, George III, and dates from c.1800.
