Description

A large early 19thC French farmhouse dining table with a three plank top. Seats 8 to 10.

From the south of France this table has been in family use for many many years which has built up a patina and colour of a very pleasing nature. The top is of three wide planks being sycamore and pine with good grain and knots. As with these tables of such an age it is covered with knife cuts,stains,ring marks and old worm holes (treated) this is what creates its patina and charm. The base is of oak and is of a simple but sturdy design allowing chairs to locate under the top on both sides. The whole is completely original.

68.5 high but with leg room of 58 cms adequate for a large six foot male.
