Beautifully Figured Walnut Antique Victorian Card Table - Games Table

Dating from ca. 1860 this Beautifully Figured Walnut Antique Victorian Card Table - Games Table has an oval top with moulded edges and stunning figured 'mirrored' walnut. The top swivels open to double its size, revealing a concealed games compartment in the process and the playing surface is finished in a green baize. The top sits above four beautifully turned upright supports, has a central decoratively turned finial and four splayed, scrolled beautifully crafted legs finished with white porcelain castors. The table has aged to a rich golden walnut shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
