Fine Quality Regency Mahogany Antique Sofa Table

This Regency rosewood sofa table, circa 1830, is a true quality piece of antiquity. It has a beautifully figured top with decorative rosewood cross banding and two drop leaves. The lower section has two working drawers with lion head handles on one side and faux drawers on the opposite side again with brass handles. This marvellous sofa table is of stunning quality and could be placed in the centre of the room. This lovely table has a beautifully turned central pedestal and out swept moulded legs with decorative brass castors. The mahogany has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
