Here is a simple, rustic and attractive antique George III oak fold over rectangular tea table, circa 1780. The table features a good quality solid oak top, which is finished with a simple round moulding to the edges. Below, there is a straight frieze. When the table is opened, the table reveals a lovely colour oak top in excellent condition boasting a rich colour. When the table is opened, a wooden hinged leg slides out to support the tabletop. Simple straight legs support the table.

This is an extremely useful piece of furniture and a great asset to have in any living, dining room or hallway as it consumes very little space.

The table features a rich dark oak colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and the years of care and cleaning they have received.

This truly is a very beautiful item with quality construction and is original throughout. It is rare to see one in such good condition. This item would certainly grace any home. So don't miss out your chance to own such a lovely antique item.

Condition Report:

This tea table is in excellent working condition. There are no scratches or water stains to the top either. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges. The tabletop hinges are original and in good working order. The pullout leg opens on its original hinge. All four legs are solid and support the table. As this table retains its original polish, it ensures there is an excellent colour and patination to the timber. This colour can only be found in furniture with its original polish; it cannot be recreated with new polish. The table is free of active woodworm, solid in joint (not loose or wobbly) and ready to use.
