Regency Rosewood Adjustable Reading Table. C. 1825

19th century
Description

Good Scottish Regency rosewood adjustable reading table. Nice veneer on the top with thumb nail moulding and lift out holding strip. The platform base with octagonal tapered column and carved lion feet.

The working for the top are all in brass and are of very good quality with chased pattern. The top can be adjusted in height and angle.

If you remove the strip, you can use the piece as a normal occasional table as can be seen in the photos.

Nice colour.

SIZES; 18" by 14" on the top and it can extend to approx. 48" high
