Regency Mahogany Work or Sewing Table

Description

A charming mahogany work/sewing/lamp table of good colour with a decorative quarter veneered top. The table has a concave front, canted corners, hinged top with fitted interior, sliding workbox covered in pale pink velvet, 4 shaped supports down to a reeded square section pedestal and scrolled tripod base on castors. The interior is fitted with numerous compartments which (apart from the centre one) still have their lids with bone handles. The front compartment is hinged and still has its original silk covered pin cushion and it has its working lock and key. The table measures 19.5ins X 16ins X 29.5ins high. C1830.
