Fine Quality Mahogany Antique Edwardian Inlaid Side Table

This delightful antique table dates from the Edwardian period, circa 1900, and is reminiscent of a Sheraton design. It has a serpentine shaped top which has beautifully inlaid cross banding and a strikingly figured flamed mahogany oval central panel. The front has an unusual three over two drawer configuration all of which are mahogany lined, have cock beading and flow in a serpentine shape. The corners are canted and all sides are finished and shaped so it may be placed to the side of a sofa or in an open position. It stands elegantly on four tapering legs, which are beautifully inlaid and have spade feet. This fine quality piece is a rich medium shade of mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
