An 18thc Estate Made Reading Table

Description

An 18thC oak reading/display table. This piece is of a great colour and has undergone many changes and alterations in its life there also being evidence of older hinges and locks.

However it comprises essentially a lowboy style table with an original shaped front frieze,a drawer and a lift up top which is supported on a gateleg and rest to the rear. The top has a detachable book rest which relocates as a rear gallery to the horizontal top when closed. Extremely useful to display prints,documents or maps or event to place your laptop on when having large documents to examine.

83 cms wide by 42 deep and 69 cms high.
