The top is constructed of three pieces of solid oak. The tilt top table has a working hinge and brass locking mechanism, which locks the table into place when horizontal. The pedestal locks into the brass locking mechanism. The table features a birdcage structure and the top rotates 360 degrees. The top is detachable from the base and is connected with the original wooden wedge. The table features a well-shaped and very good quality gun barrel pedestal, which terminates in lovely umbrella shaped legs and pad feet. This table is completely original (i.e. the top and the base are not a marriage) without any breaks or damage and has fantastic colour / patination.

Diameter = 83cm or 2ft 8¾”
Condition Report:
This table is in excellent condition. There is an excellent colour to the top and stem. The top and base are original to each other. The working hinges and brass locking mechanism are all in very good condition. Importantly, there are no breaks to the stem or legs, which is common with tripod tables. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
