Here is a very good quality antique mid-sized oak English George III tilt top tripod table, circa 1760 - 1780.

Here is a very good quality large antique midsized rich mid brown oak English George III tilt top tripod table, circa 1760 - 1780. The top is constructed of three pieces of solid oak. The tilt top table has the original working hinge and brass locking mechanism. The pedestal locks into the brass locking mechanism. The table features a well-shaped and good quality ring turned pedestal, which terminates in lovely umbrella shaped legs. This table is completely original (i.e. the top and the base are not a marriage) without any breaks or damage and has fantastic colour / patination.

The table would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room, dining room or hallway. The table would certainly grace any home and is a great investment as it is extremely functional. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.

Height = 70.5cm or 2ft 3¾”

Width = 69cm or 2ft 3”

Depth = 69cm or 2ft 3”

Condition Report:

This table is in excellent condition. The top and base are original (i.e. they are not a marriage). The working hinges and brass locking mechanism are all original. Importantly, there are no breaks to the stem or legs, which is common with tripod tables. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
