A wonderful quality Regency period rosewood fold over card table. The table stands on a triform base of stylish, stepped and moulded profile, above three wonderful carved, winged lion paws. The centre stem is of a simple triform profile mirroring the base and the top is tastefully shallow and has canted corners to balance elegantly and cleanly with the base. The table comes from a neoclassical design, the regency taste loved the clean lines and classical motif of the winged lions paws. The whole is in rosewood, and particularly the top has wonderful figuring. The table is in excellent condition. C.1810.
