Elegant Victorian Rosewood Sutherland Drop-leaf Tea Occasional Table

Description

Here is an elegant late Victorian sutherland table of superior quality.

C1890.

This superb table is made of rosewood having wonderful inlaid designs. With boxwood stringing and ivory marquetry, which is exquisite. The rosewood has wonderful rich figuring.

With a charming rectangular top with canted corners, twin drop-flaps either side,supported by mahogany turned gate legs, the ends having double supports and sledge bases, with original porcelain castors.

A very pretty extremely useful and practical antique Victorian table, with a lovely rich colour and patina.

The overall condition is very good, with some signs of use consistent with age, but really very minor for the age of the table.

Very solid sturdy and strong.

Bees-waxed and polished.

The dimensions are.

Height-63.5cm.

Width-67.5cm.

Depth-61cm
