Georgian Antique Mahogany Large Circular Occasional Table.

Dating from around 1800 this Georgian antique mahogany occasional table has very practical proportions. The top is made from a single piece of solid mahogany and sits above an unusual columnar designed pedestal and is supported by tripod splayed pad feet. The top can tilt on the original brass mechanism and is large enough to use as an intimate dining table for two. It has benefitted from some old restorative work to the underside and the mahogany has aged to a rich dark shade. It has a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
