Late C19th Chinese Ivory and Box-wood Inlaid Padouk Table

Late C19th Chinese ivory and box-wood inlaid padouk table. Finely inlaid shaped table top depicting a centre panel of Chinese figures engaged in crop cultivation and water-carrying in a landscape with trees and a pavilion. The outer borders inlaid with flowers, horses, figures and trailing foliage. No losses to inlay , but has a shrinkage crack to centre panel . The frieze edge of the top is also finely inlaid with relief carved figures/acrobats ,trees, pavilions and landscape motifs in alternating box-wood and ivory .Raised on a triform dragon carved and pierced base onto scroll feet.

Great quality inlay and a useful and exotic side/lamp table .
