A Fine Nest of Three Regency Tables

19th century
Description

A good quality Regency period NEST OF TABLES in particularly fine condition.

Each of the three tables is beautifully veneered in finely-figured rosewood and inset with a boxwood beading all around.* They are supported on slender turned legs, which lead to sabre feet inlaid with satinwood and united by curved stretchers. A very smart and useful nest of occasional tables.

* This beading serves two functions: firstly to prevent items falling off when in use and secondly to prevent top surfaces from being scratched when sliding in and out.
